Musa Chini Champa: The favourite and popular banana in the Himalayas. The fruit is small, sweet and has good fragrance. The name itself means chini=sugar and champa=fragrance. The stem turns dark brown when mature. The new shoots are red in colour. A heavy fruiter.
Musa prefer rich organic compost. They do best well when planted outdoors in the tropics under full sunlight. Once established they do well with dilute fertilizing.
